Buy tickets while you can, if you don’t want to miss out on the Winslow Players’ latest production, Calendar Girls, which runs for three nights only, from Thursday to Saturday, October 4 to 6, at Winslow Public Hall.
Director Derry French told the Advertiser: “Tickets are going very fast.”
Ms French said the play has been great fun to direct.
She said: “It’s been a blast from start to finish. Rehearsals have been an absolute joy really.
“It’s going to be absolutely brilliant.
“It’s a very, very funny play, It’s still making us laugh and we’ve been doing it for a few months.
“But it’s also very sad in places.
“The nudity bit is almost incidental – it’s about everybody’s journey.
“They decided to go nude to make the calendar but it’s a very, very small scene in the whole play.
“What comes across more is the friendship and the cameraderie to get this thing off the ground.”
The show starts at 8pm, doors open 7.30pm. Seating is theatre-style with numbered seats. Tickets £6 for Thursday, £8 for Friday and Saturday, from Jenny Wren’s tearoom or on the door on the night, if still available.
