‘Token’ gift for charity
Dogs For The Disabled has received a donation from Waitrose, Buckingham, thanks to the company’s Community Matters scheme.
Every month, Waitrose allocates £1,000 to be divided between three local charities.
Customers ‘vote’ for their favourite charity, using green tokens.
Puppy socialiser for Dogs For The Disabled, Sue Mellors, from Buckingham, received the cheque for £570 from Rachel Hemmings of Waitrose.
Banbury-based Dogs For The Disabled has puppy socialisers in Buckingham and Brackley, as well as clients throughout the area. Community fundraiser Jane Sargent thanked people for their ongoing support.
