Towcester Brownies celebrate 30th birthday

BROWNIES old and new braved the snow in Towcester last weekend to help celebrate their group’s 30th birthday.
Today, Friday, January 25, 2nd Towcester (St. Lawrence) Brownies will have been running for 30 years and celebrated their Pearl anniversary with a tea party last Sunday, and gave commemorative pearl bracklet charms to Brownies.
Brown Owl Julie Godwin, who took over pack leadership from founder Lyn Skey in 1989 said: “The Unit has always been full and thriving with many of the girls moving onto one of the town’s Guide Units and many to become Young Leaders and Unit Guiders, locally and further afield.”
