Traditional Guy Fawkes Night village festivities

editorial image

Thornborough is holding its traditional Guy Fawkes Night on Saturday, November 3.

Gates open for the bonfire and firework display at 7pm.

The fire will be lit at 7.15pm and the aerial firework display is from 7.30pm to 8pm.

The venue is at the Thornborough village sign on the Nash Road.

Tickets will be on sale at the Two Brewers, on the high street, from 6pm, to avoid queuing at the gate.

The traditional village torchlit procession starts at 6.30pm from the Two Brewers and proceeds up the Nash Road to the venue on the outskirts of the village.

There is no parking at the venue, but plenty of room for visitors to park along the high street and village green.

For safety reasons, parking is prohibited along the Nash Road.

Entry to the bonfire and firework display is £5 for adults, £3 for senior citizens and children.

If you want to bring a Guy, bring it to the front of the crowd barrier near to the bonfire, and a marshal will throw it onto the bonfire.

Refreshments including hot pork rolls and mulled wine will be on sale in a large marquee.
