Treat yourself to Celebration Ale and some pedigree veg
A NEW stall at Winslow Farmers’ Market on Sunday will be Buckingham Brewery, who will be selling their range of high-quality bottle-conditioned real ales.
To mark the Jubilee weekend, they will be launching Celebration Ale, which packs a right royal punch. They will also be selling a special presentation pack of three different ales.
This month also sees a welcome return of seasonal vegetables from the Victorian kitchen garden of the Claydon estate, at Middle Claydon, including a selection from the 40 different varieties of squash grown there.
There will be 30 stalls at the monthly farmers’ market, which runs from 10am to 2pm, including all of the regulars offering meats, poultry, game, cheeses, honey, bread and speciality pies.
Winslow-based Furze Down School selling some of the wood products made by pupils at the school.
Musical entertainment will be from Celtic music duo Whistlers Accomplice and there will be a special appearance of Bob Dickens with his 1950s vintage tractor.
Local shops and cafes will be open.
