A three day Christmas tree festival held at St Edburgs Church in Bicester last weekend was a resounding success.
Over 1,000 people are estimated to have attended including 250 on Sunday night who enjoyed an informal service in the evening with a number of carols and readings. The event boasted live music throughout the weekend including saxophonist Hayley Lambert, an oboe player and junior bands.
Visitors had plenty of positive comments with some saying it felt more like a ‘music festival with trees than a tree festival with music’.
Organiser Janet Puddick said: “Everything went very well, it was a brilliant success.”
All of the trees at the event were sponsored by local firms including Sainsbury’s and Bicester Village.
