PUBLIC SAFETY: It was a good night for south Northants revellers on New Years Eve after police report a quiet night.

Sergeant Pat Anstead said: “The evening passed smoothly in Brackley and Towcester and people were able to enjoy the celebrations responsibly and safely.

“No arrests were made as result of alcohol related violence in any public houses.”
