Two men in court over £50,000 fraud against Silverstone firm

Two men accused of conspiring to steal up to £50,000 of business from their employers based at the Silverstone Technology Park, have appeared in court.

James Newbould and Stephen Grime are charged with fraud by false representation, in connection to an alleged joint enterprise at GPR Racewear. Northampton Magistrates’ Court heard Newbould, 28, of Miller Hill, Northampton and Grime, 28, of Wolverton, Milton Keynes, allegedly used the company’s computer systems to direct orders to themselves between November 19, 2011 and March 10 this year.

The prosecution say the pair set up their own company to redirect the business to but Sharon Anderson, for Newbould and Grime, said this was not the case. Mrs Anderson made no further representations, and both defendants entered no plea.

They were released on unconditional bail and will appear again in court on September 11 for a committal hearing.
