UPDATE: A422 car crash victim named
THE 19-YEAR-OLD who died following a car crash near Brackley has been named as Theodora Phillington of Springfield Avenue, Banbury,
At around 10.10am on Tuesday, August 23 Miss Phillington’s black Renault Clio collided with a red Jaguar Sovereign near to the turning for Steane on the A422 between Brackley and Farthinghoe.
She was taken to hospital but later died as result of her injuries.
A passenger in the Jaguar, a 73-year-old woman from Herefordshire, was taken to Horton General Hospital in Banbury with a fractured wrist and ribs. The driver of the Jaguar was uninjured.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision, or from anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of both vehicles prior to the collision.
The road between Middleton Cheney and Brackley was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with accident.
