The Claydon Panto Group’s traditional family pantomime, Aladdin, opens at Steeple Claydon Village Hall next Saturday.
Its set in Ancient Peking where Widow Tuang-Ke, along with son Aladdin and friend Wishee Washee, do their best to keep the laundry going. Emperor Pan-Ting is in search of a suitor for his daughter Princess So-Shy, and Abanazar the Wicked arrives from Egypt with apprentices Ali Khatt and Mustapha Napp, looking for a magic lamp.
The production features performances from many of Steeple Claydon’s colourful characters including Frank Spencer as the dame. There’s plenty of audience participation and prizes to be won from Abanazar’s Lotto in the interval.
