Warm reception for film about young entrepreneur

The screening of a documentary about a Buckingham restaurant was a sell-out success last Friday night.

All 180 seats at Buckingham’s independent cinema The Film Place were sold for the viewing, which documented the setting up of the Nelson Street eaterie by Buckingham chef Louis Myhill.

The fly-on-the-wall account traced the project’s progress, from empty former electrical store to fully operational restaurant, and the strains it put on the young entrepreneur and his family.

The hour-long film, by local film-maker Roger Stotesbury, was warmly received. Hilarity was provoked at several points, including an exchange between Buckingham PC Richard Davis and a tradesman whose van was parked on a double yellow line.

Mr Stotesbury and Mr Myhill’s parents, Sarah and Steven, gave a question-and-answer session after the screening.
