Watch out for signs of illegal rave

Aylesbury Vale residents are asked to watch out for signs of an illegal rave being set up tonight or tomorrow, Friday or Saturday.

Thames Valley Police have received intelligence that suggests a rave may be held tonight or tomorrow, but they have no confirmed intelligence about the location.

Historically, rural locations within Aylesbury Vale have been targeted.

Insp Emma Garside said: “I would ask people to be vigilant for people setting up music equipment or an increased movement of vehicles/people which appears out of the ordinary for a particular area.

“Given the cold weather, it is possible that barns or industrial units may be likely venues.”

“The sooner the police are made aware of an illegal music gathering, the sooner we can respond and take steps to shut it down.”

Anyone who has information which may be relevant should call the 24-hour police enquiry centre number 101 or 999 in an emergency.
