The 144th annual Winslow at Foscote Christmas Primestock Show was a success and was well supported by exhibitors producing good quality show cattle and sheep.

The 2013 Champion beast was awarded to AJ & FJ Claridge’s 18-month-old 680kg stylish Limousin X heifer, pictured, also winning its class in the haltered section to gross £2,257.60, purchased by Parrott Bros of Whitchurch in conjunction with Philip Menday of The Bell Hotel, Winslow.

Beef nights will be held at The Bell on the last weekend in January and first weekend in February.

Reserve Champion winner was shown by MJ Dickens of Little Horwood.The cattle was judged by Barry Brazier, from Lenborough.

Champion Sheep was won by Richard Haynes of Tucky Farm, Winslow, with his pen of five Beltex lambs and reserve were the Claridges. Sheep were judged by Steve Martin, of Kent.
