Young people to get hands on with 999 services

The emergency services are to show young people in Brackley what their jobs are like during the Youth Engagement Scheme event at Brackley Fire Station, tomorrow, Saturday, September 15.

The day is a partnership between police and the fire service and school children will be shown how to use a fire hose and will take part in drills. The specialist police dog and firearms officers will also demonstrate their equipment and PSCOs will talk about anti-social behaviour, drugs, and will be demonstrate the effects of drinking using a pair of beer goggles.

Brackley PCSO Gemma Webb saidd: “It was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to offer such a unique experience to the young people in Brackley to engage in educational activities in a constructive yet enjoyable way.”
