Lorry driver killed on motorway

A LORRY driver has died in a motorway crash which is expected to cause delays across south Northants and north Bucks.

Just after 4.30am this morning it is believed four lorries collided on the southbound carriageway of the M1 between Junction 15 and the Newport Pagnell Services.

The other three drivers suffered minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "All three lanes of the southbound carriageway remain completely closed from junction 15 to allow the vehicles to be recovered.

"It is expected the motorway will remain closed for the next two to three hours."

Commuters have been reporting delays around Towcester on the A43 and A5.
