Plans for a major Brackley development which includes a large Sainsburys supermarket, petrol station and a 430-space car park have been approved by South Northamptonshire Council.

The site on Northampton Road also has an outline application to provide a new primary care centre to include the relocation of Brackley Health Centre and Washington House Surgery, and a 60-bed nursing care home to replace 12 beds currently provided by Brackley Cottage Hospital. A production warehouse would also provide more than 700 jobs. Building work could start at the end of this year.
