Management team promises to invest in new gym equipment

The Swan Pool and Leisure Centre’s new management is promising users a significant investment in new gym equipment.

On Monday, Sports and Leisure Management (SLM) Ltdtook over responsibility for the operation of both the Swan Pool and Aqua Vale Swimming and Fitness Centre in Aylesbury on behalf of Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC).

The company will operate under its brand name, Everyone Active,

AVDC’s cabinet member for leisure, David Thompson, said: “We’d like to welcome Everyone Active to Aylesbury Vale and look forward to a strong working relationship.

“We believe that our relationship with Everyone Active will bring many benefits over the next 10 years and ensure that the community can enjoy improving their fitness and health.”

Regional director of Everyone Active, Duncan Jefford, said: “We are delighted to be starting our Everyone Active partnership with AVDC.

“We are listening to the local community and developing activities that we know they want to be involved with, and are actively seeking customer feedback.

“This is an exciting time for us all.”

Changes due to be made over coming weeks at the Swan Pool include the introduction of new group exercise timetables, the award-winning Everyone Active swimming lesson programme and a significant investment in new gym equipment at both centres.

Customers will also be able to book and pay online for sessions, see up-to-date timetables and view forthcoming events at the centre on the website www.everyoneactive.com
