Mayor opens £40k play area to serve north Brackley

Brackley Town Council has just completed the refurbishment of its play area at Falcon Way.

The original equipment was installed by the developers when the estate was built over 10 years ago, and was becoming difficult to maintain in a safe condition.

A spokesman for the council said: “Following a consultation with residents, the Council awarded the £40,000 contract to supply and install the new equipment to Wicksteed Playscapes Ltd of Kettering, on condition the work was completed by the end of July. They worked hard through the recent hot weather managing to complete the project on July 30 and, immediately the safety fencing was removed, the children rushed in to test out the new equipment.”
