A pub landlord has spoken of his shock after his house, pub and cars were targeted by vandals overnight.

Keith and Jane Templeman slept through the night time attack, which saw all seven front windows smashed at the pub, as well as two windows at the couple’s home next door.

Both of their Mercedes cars were also smashed, with every panel scratched with what the couple believe was a key.

Mr and Mrs Templeman have no idea who the perpetrator is, but say that it will not push them out of the home they have lived in for 16 years.

Mr Templeman, who has run the Mitre Street pub for more than eight years, said: “I really don’t think I have upset anyone, but someone obviously doesn’t like me.

“I would really like to know who it is, and we feel concerned for our safety.

“This is not an economic crime, it’s personal and someone has attacked everything we own.”

On discovering the vandalism Mr and Mrs Templeman immediately called the police, but there are no CCTV cameras in the area.

Anyone with information about this crime can contact police on 101.
