Friends and family from near and far came together this year to raise £8,500 for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).

In the summer friends and family from Buckingham and the midlands joined Julie Pegg for the biannual Buckingham Relay for Life.

Her team, Julie’s Guardian Angels, raised £3,500 before the 24 hour event even started. They impressed their golfing husbands so much they decided to boost their wives fund raising by donating the proceeds of a charity golf day at Silverstone in September.

This month the Angels were joined by members of the Mitre Golf Society to present a £4,500 cheque to Lionel Weston and Lizzie Melvin of CRUK.
