Anything Goes in Brackley later this month when the town carnival returns.

The Brackley Carnival rolls into town on June 14 with a procession starting at 11am from the old Sawmills site. This year’s theme is Anything Goes.

Various roads will be closed for the procession – expect delays from Banbury Road to the Northampton Road.

The procession ends on the carnival field, at Magdalen College School at around noon when the carnival will be opened by Brackley’s mayor.

There will be plenty of entertainment in the main arena including Slinky’s, Vander Space Wheel, Starlight Dance Academy and Clown Bluey.

Throughout the day, from noon, there will be Animal Mania, in the Top Field, free circus skills from Circus Wizz and free F1 simulator in the Middle Field.

On the community stage there will be entertainment from Izzy Coates, at 12.15pm, George, at 12.45pm, Francesca Long, at 1.15pm, Don Thompson at 1.45pm, Livi Parkinson, at 2.15pm and Magdalen’s Got Talent at 3pm.

The so-far-all-conquering Mercedes F1 team will be in attendance with their F1 simulator.

Direct Legal Collections are once the carnival’s main sponsors with Taylor Wimpey sponsoring the entertainment in the main arena.

There will be stalls from local charities, organisations and businesses.

Brackley Carnival is organised by Team Carnival a small group of volunteers whose aim is to provide a great day out while providing local groups, charities and businesses a chance to raise money and promote themselves.

There is still space in the procession for floats, businesses to promote themselves or owners of interesting vehicles who would like to join in. Booking forms can be downloaded from the website www.brackleycommunitycarnival.org.uk
Admission charges £4 pre paid and £5 on the day (adults only). Children are free.
