The Ascot ladies will be back in town next week – and this year they’re looking for local businesses to get involved.
Last year we reported on the first Buckingham Ladies’ Day in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice, in memory of cancer victim Elaine Simpson.
This year’s event will see about 20 ladies dressing to impress as they take a day-long tour of the town’s hostelries on Thursday, June 19.
As well as the hospice, this year’s event will raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
And the organisers are asking Buckingham businesses to get involved by wearing hats and displaying a charity donation box.
Anyone wanting to find out more can pop into C.A. Holics and speak to committee member Nikki Power.
Other fundraising events coming up include a Race Night on Friday, June 20, and a Family Fun Day from noon on Saturday, June 21, both at Buckingham’s New Inn.
