BREXIT: Independent group spokesman Phil Gomm: 'Most exciting time of my life'

Councillor Phil Gomm, who campaigned for the Leave outcome says that Britain can look forward to a brighter future without the European Union.

He said: “I’ve just had one of the most exciting times of my life, and I am so proud to have been part of it.

“What needs to happen now is for everyone to pull up their sleeves and start working harder for this country. We have to grit our teeth and get on with the job in hand, which is to bring the country back to its best.

“People need to step aside and allow those who want to work hard to get the job done to do it, and we all need to work harder at building a brighter future.”
