A new town centre bus shelter should have as many seats as possible.
That’s according to members of Buckingham Town Council who selected this design for the new bus shelter for Buckingham bus station, at their meeting on July 28.
The bus shelter is being provided by Transport for Bucks (TfB) and funded out of Section 106 developers’ contributions.
It will also feature a real-time information display.
Town councillors chose the style to be similar to those at Milton Keynes bus station, but said the colour should be appropriate for the surroundings.
They also wanted it to be as big as possible, with as many seats as possible.
A TfB spokesman said the bus shelter manufacturer will be visiting Buckingham this week to assess what size shelter will be needed.
The spokesman said: “Once they have made the site visit, we will also be able to give timescales of the installation.”
