A charter which will help improve the relationship between small businesses and the public sector was signed recently.

South Northants Council has signed up to the Federation of Small Businesses Charter, which aims to break down barriers which often stops smaller enterprises securing contracts with councils.

It contains 14 ‘best practice’ recommendations for councils to adopt in the procurement process.

The charter was signed by Mary Clarke, leader of South Northants Council on Monday this week.
