Would-be Masterchefs have the chance to be inspired by an expert at a demonstration evening with world-class master patissiere Claire Clark MBE on Tuesday, April 1.
Ms Clark, from Tingewick, will be demonstrating the art of the pastry chef at 8pm at Buckingham Parish Church.
Ms Clark, who has an entry in the International Who’s Who, is in demand to cook, demonstrate and judge all over the world.
She has been to Japan as a visiting celerity chef at the invitation of the Ritz Carlton group, and is much in demand as a visiting chef and judge in the Middle East.
One of her cakes, marketed and sold by Morrisons, won the supermarket section of the first ever National Cake Awards in London last year.
The March edition of Waitrose Kitchen magazine dedicates a full page to her work.
Mayor of Buckingham, Ruth Newell, said: “I was delighted when my mayor’s chaplain, Rev David Hemsley, offered to ask his daughter Claire Clark to do another demonstration evening in Buckingham.
“The last one was a sell-out, and Claire is kindly doing it all for charity, to be shared between the church organ restoration fund and my four mayor’s charities.
“It will be a wonderful evening, and will be filmed on to a large screen so that everyone will be able to see.
“There will be refreshments at the interval and there will also be a great raffle with some wonderful prizes, including cream tea for two, a bottle of champagne, a Clays voucher, and mint creams from the House of Commons.”
Claire Clark grew up in Tingewick, where her father, Rev Hemsley, was vicar, and she was a neighbour and childhood playmate of well-known Buckingham councillor Robin Stuchbury.
She attended the village primary school, Page Hill Middle School and Waddesdon C of E School.
Originally intending to follow a career in music, she instead turned her creative talent to the art of pastry and completed her apprenticeship with two Swiss German/Austrian patissiers, the legendary Prof John Huber, now deceased, and Ernst Bachmann.
During her career, Ms Clark has spent time at some of the most prestigious restaurants, hotels and event caterers in England.
She was the first person in the UK and the only female recipient of the Meilleur Ouvrier de la Grande-Bretange (MOGB) (Best Crafts Worker of Britain), the highest recognition of excellence.
She was named Best Pastry Chef by Restaurant Magazine in 1999 and again in 2005.
In recognition of her commitment to her craft, in 2011 Ms Clark was awarded an MBE in the Queens Birthday Honours list.
