Long time staff member at Marsh Gibbon CofE School Jenny Rouse, said a fond farewell last week after 30 years of service.

Mrs Rouse started working at the school as cook and when the school stopped serving hot lunches she became lunch-time supervisor, eventually going on to work with her mother as a cleaner.

Carrying on the tradition, she became cleaner-in-charge with her daughter, Vicky. Mrs Rouse has worked for four different headteachers and has seen many staff come and go.

Headteacher, Julie Hickey said: “Jenny is a very valued staff member. She is always will to have a go at anything and ‘go the extra mile’. She is a very caring and positive person who greets me very early in the morning with a smile.”
