The leader of Bucks County Council, Martin Tett, visited Buckingham on Tuesday, at the invitation of county councillor for Buckingham, Warren Whyte.

Mr Whyte took Mr Tett on a tour of the town centre, including the library and area office, the town council and the university. He also took him to Silverstone to discuss the relationship between Buckingham and the employment area there andshowed him the delights of our rural roads.

Mr Whyte said: “We had some good discussions.

“I reminded him of the importance of Buckingham Library as a hub for the rural area. I also reminded him we have a natural synergy with Milton Keynes – it’s not all Aylesbury.”

In Gyre and Gimble coffee shop, local campaigner Sarah-Louise Johnston spoke to Mr Tett about the area office.
