Buckingham’s annual live music event was enjoyed by hundreds of music lovers in the town centre over the Bank Holiday.

The BandJam Big Bash brought Market Hill to life on Sunday with bands performing all afternoon.

Buckingham’s annual live music event is organised by Sean and Cher Allen and receives £3,000 in sponsorship by Buckingham Town Council.

New headliners were covers’ band My Holiday Romance, who began their musical careers gigging at BandJam evenings.

Chairman of events at Buckingham Town Council Andrew Mahi said he was pleased with how it went and that the rain held off.

He said: “It was an excellent event. Everybody had a great time and the clouds decided to go somewhere else – they must have thought they’re such good people in Buckingham, we will go somewhere else.”

“We didn’t have any problems and all the bands were great. I’m sure there was over 1,000 people and a good mix so you get the kids and the teenagers and the older crowd when its gets later.

“Thanks to Sean, he worked very hard and was there until well after midnight. And thanks to the sweepers who cleaned up too – we can’t leave the town messy.”

Sound speakers were taken care of by Marshall Amplification of Milton Keynes.
