A mother and daughter team completed the Moonwalk in London last weekend in eight hours.
Sandie and Claire Davis, of Thornborough, have raised more than £640 for research into breast cancer with the money still coming in.
The pair ended up spending more than 11 hours on their feet due to congestion at the start of the walk, but had their spirits raised by Sandie’s husband Les, who sent supportive text messages throughout the night and who had joined them in training walks. He was also on hand with waiter service when Sandie and Claire returned.
Sandie said: “The atmosphere was brilliant, the weather didn’t dampen our spirits and we felt a great sense of achievement when we walked over the finish line.
“Thank you to everyone for your encouragement and generosity. My thanks go especially to my husband Les.”
