There’s an opportunity to learn a new musical instrument at a Ukulele Workshop at The Woolpack, in Well Street, Buckingham, on Thursday, February 20.
The ukulele club met for the first time in Buckingham in September, run by local musician, teacher and author of Uke And Sing, Sue Snell.
Ms Snell already delivers ukulele workshops at The Stables music venue in Milton Keynes, Chippenham Festival and other arts venues across the country.
She said: “I work with a lovely local group who meet once a month in Stony Stratford.
“They are mostly terrified want-to-be-musicians who never had the chance to learn when they were younger.
“The ukulele is really accessible, and you don’t need any special musical skills to come along and have a go.
“What began as a one-off workshop has now been meeting monthly for the last three years.
“I very much hope the new Buckingham group will follow suit.”
Complete beginners are very welcome to join the group, and ukuleles are provided for you to borrow if you don’t happen to have your own.
The workshops cost £4 and there is no need to book – just turn up and have a go.
Meetings are held in the function room of The Woolpack from 7pm to 8pm.
