You can enjoy a bevy or two while raising cash for a good cause at a charity cider festival and family music day.

The Red Lion pub, in Brackley is holding the event in its pub garden on Saturday and there will be a variety of ciders to try as well as music from local bands.

Real cider available on the day includes Happy Daze and Crazy Goat.

Bands include Harry Pane, Scarlett Baxter and Dom, Jefferson Kane, Devastation and Acoustic Journey.

For the younger ones, other activities include a bouncy castle, face painting, colour books and pencils and free juice.

There will also be a barbecue and cocktails. Entry is free and all proceeds will go to Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance.

Then on Sunday, the Red Lion, which is supporting its home Formula 1 team Mercedes, will be hosting a big screen with surround sound live from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

It’s a good charity and helps a lot of people in the community. We hope people come along and have a good time while helping a worthwhile cause.”
