Olympic rower Katherine Grainger and TV criminologist Prof David Wilson will be among the guests at a prestigious private view event at Buckingham’s Bucca restaurant tonight, Friday.
Bucca, in Cornwall Place, is hosting the launch event for an unusual art exhibition which will be on display to diners during February.
The works, which are all for sale, are by prisoners at Grendon Prison, under the tuition of artist in residence Lorna Giezot.
Many have previously exhibited at the prestigious Koestler Awards exhibition on London’s south bank and some of the artists have had works bought by international collectors.
Ms Grainger and Prof Wilson are both Friends of Grendon, and money raised at the private view will go to the charity, which supports the prison’s artist in residence scheme.
An ITV camera crew is also set to attend.
Tickets are £10 in advance from Bucca on 01280 817141.
