A nursery has been graded as ‘outstanding’ by government inspectors.
Ducklings Montessori Nursery is based at Nash village hall and has 27 children aged two to five.
The privately owned nursery was visited by Ofsted in 2009 and graded as ‘good’.
But inspectors have now given the facility the top grading as it is ‘highly effective in meeting the needs of all children exceptionally well’.
The nursery’s six members of staff, led by owner Julia Jack, were praised for challenging the children in a variety of imaginative and exciting ways while treating them with exceptional care.
Staff were also commended for supporting children who speak English as an additional language and for encouraging healthy eating at snack times.
The only recommendation was to improve privacy for children during nappy changing.
But children were found to be ‘consistently achieving very high standards across all aspects of their learning’ while feeling ‘incredibly safe and secure’.
