Fun runners and athletes will be on their marks for the 29th Thornborough-10 and five-mile fun run.
For the first time this year runners completing the 10-mile race will receive a medal when they cross the finish line on May 5.
The village race is open to all levels of runners and trophies are up for grabs for category winners. Experienced runners from athletics clubs in the area will make up the field of 10-mile competitors.
Organisers Thornborough Sports and Social club expect around 250 entrants, including 50 who will tackle the longer distance. Registration opens at the Green in Thornborough at 10am on race day. The elite athletes will be started at 10.40am with the fun runners setting off at 11am.
All runners must enter on the day and unaccompanied under 18s must complete an entry form. Fun run fees are £5 for adults, £2 for under 18s and £1 for under fives. The Thornborough-10 fee is £8.
