A wedding fair with a difference is taking place this weekend.
Winslow’s St Laurence Church will be decked out with flowers on Saturday and Sunday, with music playing to accompany a display of wedding gowns through the decades.
One of the gowns is Edwardian and another is made from parachute silk.
The St Laurence Room will be set up with decorated tables to demonstrate its potential as a wedding venue.
Refreshments will be served and there will be people on hand to answer questions about the rules around marriage in church.
At 10am Sunday Eucharist, the Bishop of Oxford, John Pritchard, will be preaching on the subject of marriage.
Co-ordinator Barbara Capstick said: “This is a chance to show off St Laurence in all its glory as the ideal wedding venue, here in the heart of our town.”
The Bell Hotel is joining in with a Wedding Fair on Saturday, and a number of shops will have wedding-themed windows.
