Solidarity walk for missing schoolgirls

Students from the University of Buckingham’s Africa Society and Nigerian Society walked through town wearing white T-shirts today in support of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign.

More than 240 Nigerian schoolgirls are still missiing more than a month after they were abducted from their school by armed militant group Boko Haram.

The university currently has 200 Nigerian students and a further 1,584 have passed through its doors since 1976.

The students have started an e-petition to the governemnt of Nigeria and the Nigerian High Commission, urging them to do everything possible to bring the girls back as soon as possible.
