Over £500 was raised for animal charities when the employees of a family-owned firm held a carwash at the firm’s premises.
Vètoquinol UK hosted the event at their offices on Buckingham Industrial Estate on Saturday, August 16, to raise money for the Vet Charity Challenge.
Four teams of employees from the animal health products company are undertaking the challenge in September for the second year running.
The challenge will see 16 employees run, bike and kayak for three animal charities – Cats Protection, SPANA and Hearing dogs for deaf people.
Abbie King, who helped arrange the car wash said: “The day ran really smoothly.
“We had a constant stream of people showing their support by turning up with their cars from 9am up until 2pm.
“All sorts of cars arrived for a wash, from 4x4s to a Reliant Robin.
“All in all, by the end of the day about 30 cars were washed.
“Everyone in the Vétoquinol car wash team worked really hard to make the day a success and we finished the day with a total of £524 raised.”
