Sweet new addition to llama park as baby Vanilla joins the herd

Waiting for Video...

Meet Vanilla, the newest arrival at a llama park.

His mother Pecan Pie gave birth at Catanger Lamas in Towcester where the public can get to know the animals and go on treks with them.

Vanilla was named so because all of Pecan Pie’s baby llamas are after puddings and the park owners work their way through the alphabet when naming the newborns.

The centre, in Wappenham Road, have alpacas as well as llamas and Vanilla is in fact a cross breed between the two.

Owner Mary Price said this is the perfect time to welcome newborns because there is plenty of grass for them to eat.
