Winslow got in the Christmas spirit last Thursday night, at the town’s Christmas Fayre and lights switch-on.
Once again, the town’s historic Market Square was thronged with families for the popular annual event.
Parents and little ones queued patiently to visit Santa in his grotto outside the St Laurence Room.
Also popular with the children were the live reindeer from Claydon Christmas Tree Farm, thanks to support from the Otherworld Gallery, Treehouse Pre-School, Scott’s Trading, Gillyflowers, The Cutting Corner and anonymous residents.
As well as stalls on the Market Square selling festive food and drink, local organisations had promotional stalls inside the St Laurence Room.
Mayor of Winslow Llew Monger led the countdown to the switch-on of the Christmas tree lights.
He was assisted in his duties by Nash resident Gloria Chaplin, who carried the Olympic torch through Winslow in July, and panto star Holly Brewer, who is appearing as Wendy in Peter Pan at Aylesbury Waterside.
Braving the cold, Miss Brewer gamely donnned her nightie and entertained the crowd with a rendition of All I Want For Christmas Is You.
