More than 100 people enjoyed a ‘wonderful’ civic service of dancing and music.
Brackley Piazza was filled on Sunday as the annual South Northants Civic Service took place.
It was attended by the high sheriff of Northants Anne Burnett and was hosted by Peter Rawlinson, chairman of South Northants Council.
Community leaders came together with members of the public to enjoy the entertainment which included performances from Brackley Morris Men and the Brackley and District Band.
The civic service has previously been held at the parish church but this year Mr Rawlinson decided to organise an open air, songs of praise event.
He said: “It was a really good event and we were lucky with the weather. The civic heads were very complementary as it was something completely different.
“My thanks go to the Brackley and District Band, Brackley Morris Men, officers at SNC, the Brackley Youth Hub, all the church representatives, Brackley Town Council staff for setting everything up.
“Also, the staff at the Red Lion for the post-event refreshments, all of whom contributed to a really wonderful afternoon which everyone enjoyed.”
