BRACKLEY’S intrepid endurance dancer Tom Clare will embark upon a 2,000 mile Olympic dance marathon next week.

On Wednesday, April 11, the 34-year-old pizza delivery driver and amateur performer will be joined by 28-year-old Scottish choreographer Dana MacPherson, when they set off from Olympia in Greece.

Travelling only with a pedal bike to carry camping equipment, they will take it in turns dancing, and riding until they reach the Olympic Park in London.

After crossing the Ionian Sea the pair will dance a cross southern Italy before following a pilgrimage route of scared shrines through Italy and France known as the Apollo Axis.

Mr Clare said after dancing 350 miles in 2011, and with the Olympics in London he thought it was fitting tribute.
