Buckingham musician and author Paul Harris, is launching his new book, The Practice Process, at The Duke’s Music, in Market Hill, on Wednesday, February 26.
All musicians know that practice can sometimes be a low priority but they also know that it works. How can we make practice relevant and positive for ourselves, our pupils and our children?
All musicians of all standards can benefit from new ideas to focus and improve their performance.
Educationalist Paul Harris is an expert on composer Malcolm Arnold and director of the annual Malcolm Arnold Festival at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate theatre.
He is also a leading expert on the thought behind practice and ways to make it an integral part of our musical lives.
He will be discussing simple techniques to encourage and enjoy practice in two informal talks at The Duke’s Music and afterwards signing copies of his new book.
The free event takes place from 6pm to 8pm. Contact The Duke’s Music on 01280 821771.
