A new Aldi store is set to open its doors next week.

Construction of the new supermarket on Osier Way, Buckingham, began in May and the store is on target for a grand opening on Thursday, October 9.

It will employ a store manager, an assistant store manager and up to 35 store assistants. Information on vacancies can be found at www.Aldi.co.uk

The development, in the former Focus building on the Buckingham bypass, also includes a new Pets At Home store, which is due to open on October 17.

An Aldi spokesman said: “We have received a great deal of support from local people in the build-up to the works starting on site and we are all really excited about being part of the Buckingham community.

“Buckingham has featured on our town requirements list for a new store for many years and we are confident that our discount format will offer the town a genuine alternative as well as a substantial saving on the cost of the average weekly shop.”

The store, which will have a five-aisle 1,140 sq m sales area and 160 car parking spaces, will open from 8am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
