TEMPORARY personnel supplier Workstream Construction Services has launched a new online timesheet entry system to make life easier for site managers.
The Newton Morrell-based firm has designed and developed a system to save site managers hours they would have spent manually completing and faxing timesheets for a large number of operatives.
Managing director Keith Alderton said: “We considered several off-the-peg online timesheet systems but we couldn’t find a solution that was relevant to the needs of construction site managers.
“We therefore felt we had no alternative but to develop our own. Over the past three months, we’ve been piloting our system with a small group of clients, all with their own individual requirements.”
He said clients had found the system easier, faster and more accurate to use than conventional, paper-based timesheet systems.
Mr Alderton added: “Our testers also liked the ability to customise timesheet formats to fit in with their own company processes rather than make do with the usual ‘one-size-fits-all’ gang timesheet system.
“We have been very encouraged by the feedback we’ve received during the test period and we’re delighted to be rolling out the new system today to any of our clients who want to use it.”
Founded in 1993, Workstream has seven branch offices around the country.
