A new care centre for young children has been told it must make improvements to stop kids from misbehaving.

Rising Stars Day Care and Out of School Care Ltd has operated from the Scout Headquarters in Winslow from earlier this year.

Ofsted inspectors found its 68 children, aged up to eight, are happy, settled and enjoy a positive relationship with staff.

But the centre was told it must keep on top of children’s behaviour, cover all seven areas of learning and engage with parents to find out more about each child’s ability level.

It was therefore graded as ‘requires improvement’ for what was its first inspection.

The report, published this week, said the children’s environment is ‘safe’ and the manager is ‘committed to driving improvement and raising the quality of the setting for children’.

The centre has four members of staff – two are qualified at Level 3 and one is qualified at Level 2.

It is open weekdays from 9am to 3pm during term time and after school from 3.15pm to 6pm.
