Things hotted up in Buckingham’s Old Gaol last Monday night, when chefs Louis Myhill and Josh Dallaway from Nelson Street restaurant gave a cookery demonstration.

The audience watched the talented pair cook a partridge and pear salad, followed by a hot chocolate fondant with salted caramel sauce.

As he cooked, Louis talked about how he began cooking at the age of 16, his time as a chef at The Ivy and then joining forces with Mike Norris to open Nelson Street.

The restaurant donated the first prize in the raffle, a three-course lunch for two, which was won by a delighted Heather Heath.
