BUCKINGHAM Library made more than £800 from an audio-visual sale earlier this month.
Senior supervisor Pam Gowen said the two-day sale of DVDs, CDs and spoken word was very successful and very popular.
“We took over £800 and that helps us buy new stock,” she said.
And she said the library regularly sells off smaller amounts of old stock.
“That was a big sale but we do put a trolleyful out about every five weeks,” she said.
The next community event at Buckingham Library will be National Libraries Day on Saturday, February 4.
The occasion also marks the 200th birthday of Charles Dickens, who was born on February 7 1812.
On the Saturday, the library will be running a Charles Dickens quiz and serve coffee and biscuits.
Anyone who joins the library during the previous week commencing Monday, January 30, will be entered into a prize draw.
