CHRISTMAS: Visitors to Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School in Towcester can immerse themselves in the festive spirit during the school’s Christmas Fayre on Sunday, December 9, from 3pm.

Father Christmas himself will be in his grotto where children can sit and enjoy a magical ‘Story with Santa’ and receive a special gift. Advance tickets will be on sale soon.

The event promises plenty of family fun with a wide range of games to play including Snowball Bowling, Christmas Cracker Challenge, Win a Bottle, Santa Down the Chimney, Guess the Weight of the Cake, Lowest Unique Bid, Secret Santa Tombola and Reindeer Carrot game, all offering the chance to win some great prizes.

In addition, the Christmas Fayre offers the opportunity to avoid the humdrum of the high street and pick up some original gifts with stalls selling handmade toys, jewellery, rough rocks and geodes, Christmas decorations and cards, books and handmade cupcakes, as well as other gifts and accessories.

Further highlights include a performance by the Kat Stephens Singers featuring The We Can Do It Crew, a variety of seasonal refreshments, a photography studio with instant prints, face painting and a range of craft activities.

A grand draw raffle includes the chance to win a relaxation spa day for two people at Whittlebury Hall, weekend tickets for two to the British Touring Car Championship 2013 or the British Superbike Championship 2013 at Silverstone, an original piece of art from Watling Street Galleries, family ice skating tickets at Frosts Woburn, a round of golf for four people at Whittlebury Park Golf & Country Club, theatre tickets for two at Royal and Derngate, and a years free family membership at Towcester Centre for Leisure.

The Christmas Fayre is organised by the Friends of Nicholas Hawksmoor Primary School (FoNHS), a registered charity which organises fundraising events to help purchase extra equipment and learning resources for the school.
