THE community of Kings Sutton has come together to help fund emergency life saving equipment for the village.
The Kings Sutton Parish Council and regulars at the White Horse Pub have donated more than £1,500 to the ambulance service’s Community First Responder scheme. CFR teams are equipped with defibrillators which can deliver an electric shock to restart a stopped heart, along with basic first aid equipment. CFR teams serve the villages in which they live and are dispatched at the same time as an ambulance.
CFR co-ordinator Elaine Cross thanked the fund raisers on behalf the people whose lives it will save.
